Further Information: An alien species originating from south-eastern Europe. In UK, it was first recorded only in 2007 and has since been found more widely in the southeast. Although superficially similar to Fieberiella florii, the vertex is sharply pointed and the body and forewings are plain, with dark markings at the apices of the anal veins and the corio-claval suture, and further dark markings in the apcial cells. The antennae are very long. It is reported to be found exclusively on bay laurel ( Laurus nobilis) but it can temporarily be found on other plants; the specimen in this profile was photographed on a Ficus sp. Adults are 6-7mm long and found in Summer.
