Napoleon Spider Brimba tal-fjuri mbaċċa |
Further Information: Like many other Thomisids, this spider ambushes flower-visiting insects. The spider can be white, yellow or red - depending on the flowers of the plants it is inhabiting. A distinctive black pattern on the abdomen somewhat resembles the silhouette of French statesman Napoleon Bonaparte, hence the common name. Males are smaller than females. |
