An ornamental bush originating from china which sometimes finds itself in the wild (=casual alien). It becomes locally invasive (up to a couple of metres) but do not spread far away. Previously the Buddleja Genus was placed in an own Family - the BUDDLEJACEAE, but now it forms part of the large SCROPHULARIACEA family. Found both in Malta and Gozo as a casual alien
