Habitat :

Remarks :

Anagallis foemina is very similar to A. arvensis but it has the margin of the petals with none or few glandular hair. When present this hair is composed of three cells against four in A. arvensis. Some authors make also reference of a more dentate-oblong petals in A. foemina, whereas they are broad and rounded in A. arvensis. This may not be a good distinctive character, because individuals of A. arvensis with such petal shape are sometimes met in the field. All material checked (some 120 specimens) from Malta have always resulted in having numerous glandular hair at the margin of petals hence A. foemina has not been confirmed by the author. Still, specimens are being checked in the field to confirm the occurrence of A. foemina
